Formed from the rock band Urgent in glory days of the Breakwater Inn during the mid nineteen eighties, Stumpy is a five-piece blues/rock band that has been through a few lineup changes over the decades, but currently consists of; • Andy (guitar/vocals) • Deano (drums) • John (bass) • Plug (sax) • Simon (guitar) Stumpy play a blend of blues-rock with a touch of fusion and funk, with a splattering of jazz thrown in. Covers from the likes of ZZ Top, Gary Moore, Clapton, Steely Dan, Free, Average White Band and Bonamassa to name but a few. We have supported The Small Faces, The Steve Gibbons Band and The Hamsters and played a range of venues from Dartmoor Prison, The Palace Theatre, a live beach gig broadcast on Plymouth Sound to The Pavilions and most of Plymouth’s glorious music pubs.
