Hightimes are a four-piece, funk-rock band from God’s own county, rocking their way around the Yorkshire mill towns and beyond with more energy than a junkie on giro-day. The bands mixture of improvisation, audience connection and explosive tunes brings a uniqueness to every performance. With an eclectic blend of influences ranging from Rock, Funk and Metal, intricately woven in a tapestry of sound, It's hard not to find yourself bouncing around like a lunatic!
This bunch of music-obsessed muppets first came together when Huddersfield college students Adam (guitarist) and Jake (bassist) met for the first time on a local bus, of all places. One quick conversation, a few text messages and the addition of Jake’s mate Henrik (drummer) and suddenly this trio are busting out jams as if they had known each other for years. Instantly the spark was struck, quickly joining forces with vocalist Sam to forge the dynamic which would soon create the bands distinctive sound.
