Emerging from Helsinki, Finland, ASHEN SKY exists on the edge of contrasts, between what was and what is yet to come.
With over half a million streams, the band has carved its path through the modern metal scene, leaving its mark on both club stages and larger events. Along the way, ASHEN SKY has shared stages with international acts such as Dead by April, Self Deception and Oceans Ate Alaska, and performed at events like Helsinki Techfest as well as official aftershows of Hellsinki Metal Festival and Tuska.
Their sound blends melodic hooks and choruses with crushing riffs and deathcore-influenced breakdowns, underpinned by a melancholic tone.
The new era that began in 2025, marked by the arrival of vocalist Olli Laaka, has taken the band to a clearer and heavier expression. This development culminates in their second album The Broken Era released in May 2026
