For 26 years, the resonant heartbeat of the Daf (a Persian frame drum) has been my guiding rhythm. Under the tutelage of the esteemed Master Masoud Habibi, a pioneer of daf instruction in Iran, I immersed myself in the rich traditions of this ancient instrument.
After years of teaching and playing professionally with various orchestras in Iran, life's journey unexpectedly stepped me away from the daf for almost seven years. However its spirit never truly left!
Now, I've returned with a renewed vision, a deeply meditative approach that transcends mere art performance.
Daf Spirit is where rhythm meets reflection. My playing is no longer a performance of skill; it's a journey inward, a sonic meditation! I believe the daf possesses an inherent ability to connect us to our inner selves, to a space of tranquility and spiritual harmony. Through repetitive and hypnotic rhythms, I aim to create an immersive experience that invites you to explore the depths of your own being.
