Have you ever caught a glimpse of a rapping gardener? Matt "Glympse", the emcee of the Vancouver group The BC Trees, has a flow like a cold refreshing stream of consciousness. The BC Trees finished making their new album 'Imperfect Paradise' released in 2011 with a full band featuring 12 original songs. The full album can be purchased on iTunes or downloaded at bctrees.bandcamp.com and is also available at Vancouver record stores Zulu, Red Cat and Scratch Records. The BC Trees are not a typical hip-hop band. Their socially conscious lyrics transcend the genre and the musical range makes them appeal to an intelligent audience. Matt's lyrics are backed by his brother Eddie's solid bass lines. The brothers produce much of their own music and are currently working on a follow-up album in collaboration with other artists.
