VEC stands for Virtual classroom environmental challenge. Its main purpose is to develop peer education in an international context, mainly in two areas: language teaching and challenge-based projects. The VEC challenge aims at cross-campus exploration of environmentally-friendly projects and the exchange of best practices through peer presentations in an international virtual class format. The project also promotes peer tutoring in an international virtual class format, using R2’s virtual classroom platform, “VIA”. Finally, the project contributes to the development of students' digital literacy and inter-disciplinary project management skills.
