Warren Strange has been into desert racing and motocross for years. By his 50s he had done the Finke Desert Race 15 times. In 2026 he will race a AJP PR7 at Finke and is hoping to be in the top three. He raced bikes from the age of 9 and never really stopped – always doing one form or another. The past two decades Warren has focussed on desert racing - doing the Finke Desert Race and some of the other cross-country events. Warren has enjoyed that style of racing and he can still be competitive in that sort of event in the over 50s class. He has had some good results in the Finke and some bad runs with mechanical issues on other brands. But with his lifestyle being what it was he didn’t have a lot of time. So Dakar was a pretty daunting proposition but he entered that too. Warren Strange had chance to also ride the AJP SPR 310R and 510R and do a quick review.
