With over 10,000 members worldwide, the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society focuses on the design and fabrication of integrated circuits for various applications. It produces the Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), the most downloaded technical journal in IEEE Xplore, and sponsors the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), the leading conference in the field. Founded alongside the ISSCC in 1955 and the JSSC in 1966, the Society expanded with additional conferences, including the VLSI Symposia and the Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC), in the 1980s. In 1997, it became the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society for greater autonomy and later established the Asian Solid-State Circuits Conference (ASSCC) in 2003 and the Solid-State Circuits Magazine in 2009. Today, it collaborates with six IEEE Councils to enhance interdisciplinary technologies.
