Growing up in Grimsby, England the members of Curl thank a US Indie movie 'The Arc' for their band name (Curl - a deviation of the word Arc). Curl's sound is a swirl of driving, euphoric guitars mixed with a volume of dark romantic lyrics. The drums are rich and inventive, the bass is warm and rolling. The thing which defines Curl as different to their contemporaries is that when they come together their sound is unique. Their music is best described as a 'beautiful wave on a sonic landscape.' What with their early recordings currently being remastered, Curl fans can look forward to new material too. A new album is in the works, plus a new EP 'Stars & Laybys' has been released on all of the major music platforms. The future looks exciting.
