Yesteryear Archives preserves music from the early twentieth century using original shellac records played on an antique Victrola. Each recording is presented unedited, imperfections intact, just as it would have been heard generations ago. Yesteryear Archives is a quiet collection of music from a bygone era. All recordings are taken directly from original shellac 78 RPM records and played on an antique Brunswick phonograph. Surface noise, mechanical hum, and slight imperfections are preserved as part of the original listening experience. New uploads follow simple weekly rituals such as Waltz Wednesday and Foxtrot Friday. Each video offers a brief moment to slow down and listen to music the modern world has largely forgotten. These recordings are believed to be in the public domain and are shared for historical preservation and enjoyment.
