Welcome to River Sledding in Tasmania. Meander Wilderness Experiences takes you on a whitewater adventure in the remote bushlands of Tasmania, Australia. The Meander River flows through the centre of the quaint town of Meander in Northern Tasmania located only 50 minutes from Launceston, right on the edge of the spectacular Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Meander itself is a small rural town nestled into the foothills of two scenic peaks - Quamby Bluff and Mother Cummings Peak with the Greater Western Tiers beyond. Our mission is to excite, entertain and bring a little bit of adventure to Meander giving you a unique, immersive and wild experience! We want you to get up close and personal with our part of the world, so along the way we’ll share local stories (which you’ll need to hear to believe!) while you immerse yourself in the pristine water of the Meander River.
