Please subscribe to see our traditional mountain life. We are Medina, Muqaddar, and our son Akan, a Bakhtiari nomadic family from Dudera Rural District in the Zagros Mountains in Iran. Our small stone house near the river, seen in our videos, is far from the main road and we do not have a car. During Medina’s childbirth we could not reach the hospital in time and we lost our newborn baby. We bought land closer to the road, which we are trying to pay down. We want to build a safer home near the road. In our village there are no jobs, so we care for our family’s goats. Every day we go into nature to herd, collect firewood, and fish. In different seasons we gather fruit, honey, and other gifts of the mountains. Life is hard, but we love our region and its nature.
