one camera, one mic, one canoe - live music from a berlin canoe... How did I get this Idea? Well first of, every time I take my canoe on the canal I see people sitting playing music, many of them also practicing somewhere quietly by themselves. I strongly believe in the force of music, it is one of the most basic ingredients to every culture and it does make people happier. When I then realized that one of the most astounding sound atmospheres I have ever experience is under the old bridges of the canal, where my kids love to sing, I thought I should bring this music to its right location. Bridges are what connects us and so does music. And historically the Landwehrkanal was closed due to the cold war for years so in a sense it is a nice location to show to everyone what people are playing. And the people I take on the canoe hopefully represent not professional music or any specific kind, but they represent all of us.... best, linus [email protected]
