Our History Project Impact MS was founded in 2015 and officially launching in May 2016 as Delta Upsilon Sigma Educational Advancement Foundation by the Delta Upsilon Sigma chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., in partnership with communities across the state of Mississippi to provide college scholarships to youth most in need. Eventually realizing the need for more resources in communities, the organization transitioned into Project Impact MS to make its identity more grounded in grassroots organizing and to position itself to provide an even bigger impact to the youth in Mississippi.
