Every Friday night, a group of young people get together in to play traditional and modern songs of the island of Okinawa with the sanshin and the taiko. We are "Haisai Uchina". "Haisai Uchina" (but still without the name) arose in 1996, by initiative of Harry Isa to conform a group of sanshin (the samisen of okinawa), nevertheless, the name "Haisai Uchina" (Hello Okinawa) would be born two years later. At the beginning we only wanted to have fun: there was no a professor, simply everyone shared what everyone knew and could contribute. With the practice and the perseverance our group was consolidating, not only musically, but also our friendship.
