McHale's Permanent Brew, formed in 2017 in honour of Frank McHale’s love of 60 & 70s inspired guitar based rock. The band, which includes Frank McHale on guitars, Paul McHale, guitar and vocals, Stephen Houghton, bass guitar, and Simon Lomax on Keyboards, continued to evolve over the next couple of years, releasing its debut self-titled album and developing a sound that would make for an electrifying live set. Hard work and determination would see the North West UK based band sharing the stage with the likes of Dr Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, The Quireboys, Bernie Marsden, Triple J, Xander & The Peace Pirates, Crow Black Chicken, Warner E Hodges and 60s psychedelic pioneers Atomic Rooster. The band would go on to cement its live reputation with a defining set on the main stage at 2022s HRH Blues VI festival.
