Uncaged Librarian Arts & Information lifts up stories that sustain the hearts and minds of social change workers in the Bay Area. In particular, we produce collaborative music, theater, film, and data projects that highlight the struggles and victories of LGBTQ people, people living with HIV, and people of color in our ongoing fights for dignity, existence, and liberation. Basically, we're the USO for anybody who feels moved make the world a fairer, more beautiful place for all of us, and especially for the most vulnerable in our communities. From 2016-2018, we co-wrote and produced Octavia of Earth, Volume 1, a biographical musical inspired by the life of science fiction writer Octavia E. Butler. Tender, funny, and magical, Octavia of Earth presents the human side of the mysterious founding mother of Afrofuturism. Now we're working towards building Octavia of Earth into a full-length feature film - anticipated release in 2022!
