Ink on Paper is the blank white page upon which Toronto-based artist Alice Irene creates work as a choreographer, writer and photographer.
Alice Irene's artistic purpose is to tell beautiful, genuine stories. Through various creative languages she aims to capture bittersweet human moments in a way that is authentic and stirring. She endeavors to express the timelessness, lonesomeness, love, fire, fight, compassion, music and beauty that reside within the human creature. Alice Irene intends on using creativity as a means of both expressing beauty and creating positive change.
Ink On Paper's 2012 season will consist of two full-length dance works which will be performed in Toronto in April and July 2012. Alice Irene is also implementing a women's health and empowerment project, The Mother Nature Partnership, in Cameroon.
