Jakob is an artist / songwriter / producer whose face may be familiar to some. The multi- faceted Sydney native has created his own highly charged alternative pop blend that draws from R&B and hip-hop and fuses it with genre bending production. On his self-titled debut EP, Jakob boldly announces his ambition. The Latin vibes of “Lie” live comfortably next to soaring pop of “Secrets”, that unexpectedly takes it cues from punk, while the smooth grooves of “Half Burned Cigarette” illustrate how easily Jakob shape-shifts through his music. Jakob’s band In Stereo were quickly pegged as the next One Direction and shot to fame instantly. During their 3 year tenure, the band released 3 top 10 Australian records, climbing as high as ARIA #3, completed five Australian tours and won an American Kids Choice Award before the group dissolved in early 2018. It was then Jakob transitioned into a solo career. Jakob’s next chapter starts now.
