Cavan • Dé Sathairn, 27 Deireadh Fómhair - Gallonray House, Maudebawn, Co. Cavan • Dé Domhnaigh, 28 Deireadh Fómhair - Errigal Country House Hotel, Cootehill, Co. Cavan The October Seis is a weekend of music, entertainment and craic held every year in October. Beginning in 2005, this started as a way for the O'Neill family of Athy, Co. Kildare to pay tribute to their father Joe O'Neill, a gifted musician and dedicated band leader of the Stardust Orchestra which brought his particular brand of music to almost every dance venue in Ireland from the early 1940's to the 1960's.
