Red Sand Big Band is a 17 piece Jazz ensemble playing music in the swing style of the 30's and 40's and beyond.
Based in Bendigo, in Central Victoria, Australia we are looking to revive the big band jazz scene in regional Victoria and hopefully one day become an integral part of the jazz music scene in Victoria and Australia. Age range in the band is broad with our youngest being 18 and oldest being just a little over 18. We have a unique group of people all with a love of music and jazz and a desire to constantly improve. We are mainly performing well known covers and are only instrumental.....at this stage, however there is hope that we will move into some original compositions and eventually hope to add a vocalist or two to the mix as well.
