Lucid Desires is the electronic solo project of Charlie Cynda - a London-area artist blending British roots with a global outlook.
Born in 2001 and raised on the border of Surrey and London, Charlie grew up surrounded by one of the world’s most diverse music scenes. Starting out as a frontman for experimental rock trio Venus Tykes - whose 2019 EP Roots Uprising featured the local hit "Taxman" - he developed a taste for bending genres and defying expectations.
In 2018, with a £150 laptop and FL Studio, Charlie began producing hip-hop beats, igniting a passion for electronic music’s limitless possibilities. That drive led him to Ableton Live and a dive into French house, techno, ambient, garage, synthpop, progressive rock, and psychedelia.
As Lucid Desires, Charlie draws influence from Daft Punk, Tame Impala, Muse, Fred again.., Burial, Aphex Twin, Radiohead and more - creating emotionally charged, genre-fluid tracks built for both the dancefloor and solitary late-night listening.
