Daberechukwu Anyadike “DabbyBoy”, the trailblazing Afrobeat artist, has a story that began with the nostalgic sounds of his childhood. His father, a music enthusiast, would play classic tunes by Fela Kuti , King Sunny Ade, and Jimmy Cliff during their daily drives to school. Those moments sparked a deep love for music within Dabby, which would eventually become his life's purpose.
Dabby's musical journey began in earnest at Benson Idahosa University in Edo State, Nigeria. Between football practices and school, he would sneak away to the studio with friends to record music for fun. Though his classmates embraced his early tracks, Dabby never considered music a viable career path. He was convinced that football was his ticket to success.
As his passion for music grew, Dabby dedicated himself to mastering his art, and the results were nothing short of remarkable.
His music is a vibrant fusion of traditional Afrobeat and modern flair, captivating audiences worldwide.
