Japanese-British conductor, Theo Vinden, is looking forward to working as head conductor of the Wymondham Symphony Orchestra later this year!
He is conductor emeritus of the Keele University Orchestra and Choir, conductor of the senior strings at the North London Conservatory, guest conductor for Grim’s Dyke Opera company (formerly the d’Oyly Opera company) and assistant conducting professor at the London Performing Academy of Music. He is also assistant conductor of the National Youth Strings Orchestra in the U.K..
Formerly, during his time in the U.S., he was conducting Fellow of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra (in Texas), and interim orchestra director at the University of Texas Permian Basin. Prior to going to the U.S., he was director of the chamber choir at the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy, Hungary. This followed his conducting studies in Hungary, St. Petersburg (Russia) and the U.K..
