The Chronicles Of Ratchet
My channel consists mostly of videos of the restoration of my 1992 Rover 216 GTi twincam - a car that I bought in 2001, sold in 2002 then bought back in 2009. I had to take it off the road in 2010 when part of the rear sill and jacking point fell off after hitting a pothole on the A1 taking the rare trim spat with it.
By the way, I'm not an influencer. There are other YouTubers out there that do that kind of thing.
The only real-world car advice I'm giving is;
1. However long you think a restoration will take, double it then add another 12 months.
2. Never work in a small garage. It's a pain in the neck... literally. Yes, it can be done but it will take you longer and it will annoy you.
3. Try to choose a restoration project where parts, panels and trim are still relatively easy to find.
4. Try to collect parts before starting the project.
5. You WILL do the dance of the welder when molten droplets find their way down your boot.
