7 Willow Posters & Productions is a new channel brought to you by Raredead Posters otherwise known as raredead.com, celebrating the return of live music to the legendary club in Port Chester, NY. Between the years of 1980 and late 1999, 7 Willow carved its name in the face of rock history. According to local lore, Derek Trucks, Dave Matthews, Collective Soul, Motorhead, Anthrax, Warren Haynes and many, many, more have graced its halls and the place feels it. A good example of this was on January 23, 1994, a supergroup called Wasabi performed at 7 Willow Street. This band was a direct offshoot of the NYC jam scene and included: John Popper (Blues Traveler), Brendan Hill (Blues Traveler), Erik Lawrence (Spin Doctors), & members of the band The Authority. Because our venue focused on the jam/funk scene at the time, it was the perfect spot for these musicians to play more experimental, improvised sets away from their main "platinum-selling" bands. This spirit still holds our true today.
