Capturing the mood of each song is essential for evoking an emotional reaction. Momentarily drawing the audience's attention away from the noise, to fall deeply into the sound. Despite numerous setbacks and feelings of despondency, the band persevered. To each of its members, creativity and passion are what fire the imagination. Each song is poetic and rooted in past experience. Inviting the audience into a space of vulnerability and ambiguity. Soluna was formed in 2016 by Jae Orphin (Bass & Vocals), the only original remaining member. After the release of their debut ep "Perspectives" the band went through several lineup changes, leaving the future of the band uncertain. After welcoming Tom Vicious (Lead Vocals), Shane Wegener (Lead Guitar), and eventually Jacob Knowles (Drums), the band went through a rebranding and restructuring of sound.
