Houston Merrill fell in love with country music videos, where storytelling met melody. Raised in a working-class family, he couldn’t find the time to learn an instrument, or find the right band. Still, hell-bent; he wrote about the experiences that shaped his sound Life hit hard with rebellious years, a divorce or 2, and the passing of a few close friends. After reconnecting with his faith, Houston focused on God, his daughters and his passion for songwriting. Balancing a blue-collar job, he never stopped chasing his dream. A chance encounter with Jeff Blue, the A&R behind Linkin Park and many other major artists - left Houston with an invite to record in LA. Houston ended up leaving all of his song journals on the plane, but he felt he was meant to write new songs from scratch, including his debut single “It Ain’t Easy”, released October 2024. Debut Album dropped 11.15.25 - and with a music video for "Mona Lisa On The Ground", and another music video for "No Wife Happy Life" soon!
