An intriguing fusion of jazz and ethno music brought about by years of experience in various styles of music arrived on Kiev music scene. Pavloved Resonance presents music born from Ukrainian, Romanian and Moldovan tunes entwined with original sounding of jazz and world music.
The founder and leader of the group, Elena Pavlova, meshed a diversity of musical influences, creating the sound and style, which distinguishes Pavloved Resonance. From the very early childhood when she started learning to play piano at the age of three and through teenage years, ever since she started music college at 13, Elena has enjoyed a rich experience of working in different bands and orchestras. First, a piano prodigy winning various music scholarships, grants and awards, then -- a very young accompanist and soloist, she spent her late teens mastering her skills of piano and later, saxophone, and working in four different big bands, including jazz band and retro jazz band, and a music school.
The following years of working in Seoul, South Korea and then Kiev, Ukraine, followed by a European tour enriched Elena's music experiences and influenced her worldview. They underwent even further transformation during her 1.5 years spent in Malaysia (magic show Dreamz), while a year of show biz in France (in Royal Palace, one of top cabarets) made Elena realize it was time to move on. Later, at the North Jazz Fest in the Netherlands after a few days of jam sessions she decided to discontinue contract work and go on with her own gigs and performances.
Today, after years of music experience in classical, jazz, original and world music, gained from work with other soloists and band all over the world from Western Europe to South-East Asia, Elena formed a band playing pieces which combine authentic East-European tunes with jazz and world music sound. Pavloved Resonance grasps your attention from the first seconds on and leaves you anticipating new twists of well-known tunes and new sound of familiar instruments.
