Founded in the Spring of 2020, Hear Me Out Monologues seeks to encourage new groundbreaking in the craft of monologue staking the claim that at the end of the day, when all the theaters are shuttered and we're left with no sets, no lights, no costumes, no roof and no walls, the truly gifted dramatist needs only two ingredients to make drama: a compelling character with an urgent need to communicate and a group of human beings gathered to bear witness.
Here you'll find the best of the hundreds of monologues submitted each year to the Hear Me Out Monologues Competition which gives out thousands in cash prizes to the most accomplished entries.
Each year the finalist winners' entries are performed at an online Labor Day festival at the end of which the top prize winners are announced. And on the first Monday of each month (also online) we gather to meet 5 unforgettable characters through 5 gorgeous monologues written by 5 writers at the top of their game. We call this: Some1Speaking.
