Andy Cook is a talented, self taught guitarist, singer and songwriter. Hailing from Nottingham originally, Andy has lived in Cumbria for some 20 years or so. Andy has been influenced by an eclectic range of artists and genres, including Post Punk, New Wave, folk, alternative rock and early blues. Many of his richly lyrical songs tell dark fictional stories that are heavily influenced by true events, recalling memories from many life experiences. While melancholic at times, with many references to flaws in our societal system, Andy's writing is also beautifully melodic and peppered with dark humour.
