Founded in October 2004, Yuyintang is a platform that specializes in hosting and organizing live rock (and then some) performances in Shanghai. Since our inception over 15 years ago, we’ve been committed to promoting the development of Shanghainese and Chinese rock music in this city from the grass roots and up. In the 15 years since our establishment, we have grown up with this city’s music scene. Currently, we have two main venues for original Shanghai indie music and one dive bar. In the future, we seek to continue to promote Shanghai’s DIY music culture both on the stage and in our audiences. We hope to continue to cultivate Shanghai's indie music culture for years to come.
