Kalaangan was established in 1990 with classes in Mumbai and now in Bangalore, promoting excellence in Kathak through regular classes, live performances and workshops. We grant certificates and diplomas through affiliations with several prestigious organistions nationally and internationally, and perform in festivals in India and abroad. Our Founder Director is Guru Smt. Moli Siddharth. She is the prime disciple of Late Padmashree Damayanti Joshi. She is currently under the tutelage of PadmaVibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj and Vidushi Sashwati Sen. She is also formally trained in Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and Indian Folk. With a Gold Medal in MA Kathak from RabindraBharati University and 50 years of on -stage experience she is an ideal guide for Kathak dancers. Our Artistic Director is Smt.
