Brighten The Corners is a new brand encompassing a programme of live music across three venues and a multi-venue festival in Ipswich, Suffolk. BTC is the new public facing identity of Sounds East CIC, an organisation that was created to take forward the ever evolving live music output of Out Loud Music CIC, which will now solely focus on its own hugely successful music education programme. BTC started originated in 2016 from The Smokehouse venue, an 80 cap dedicated live music venue based at South Street Studios in Ipswich, UK. Now the team have expanded to take on two venues The Baths and St Stephen's Church, as well as host an annual multi-venue festival across 5 venues in town. The Smokehouse Live was an Arts Council funded project which aimed to record, film and promote the best talent in the Eastern Region, including guests from outside of the area and across the UK.
