Welcome to my YouTube channel! Legacy videos will generally be live band performances I played in/with in my past (1996-2016), or bands my friends were in that I happened to record - with 20 years of videos to draw from, there's no shortage of vintage material! Going forward, I will be resurrecting my old "Calvin and Hops" blog as a YouTube video series that focuses on brewing techniques and ingredient selection with an emphasis on craft beer recipe design & the characteristics different ingredients and techniques will lend. I hope home-brewers and pro-brewers alike will find this information useful! A bit about me : I played bass & guitar semi-pro in various bands for about 16 years, touring, writing, recording, and all that fun stuff. In 2006 I purchased a U-Brew, in 2011 I opened a homebrew supply shop, & in 2015 I started a craft brewery where I personally designed and brewed over 40 different styles in the first year of operation. I hope to pass on the knowledge I have gained!
