Live Life...Love Life...Give Life...Are You an Organ Donor? LLJF was founded in 2020 after Fred and Jessica Salas lost their 10 year old son, Jack Salas, to an asthma attack in their home on the morning of February 1, 2018. They made the decision to have Jack become an organ donor. It was the right decision as Jack's organs and tissue have saved 5 lives. Fred and Jessica have met 4 of the 5 recipients and have spent special moments with them. 3 young girls and 2 adult men were saved because of their son. Jack's great life and legacy live on. The LLJF's mission is to encourage everyone to be a registered organ donor and help save lives. There are currently over 103,000 people in the U.S. waiting for a transplant and unfortunately, 20 people die everyday in this country because there are not enough organs available.
