This channel is dedicated to preserving the music and memories of The Moods, an outstanding Texas dance band for 63 years who wrote and recorded a number of their own original songs. A group of friends from Luling, TX formed The Moods in 1958 while they were in high school. They quickly became an area favorite and performed regularly until the late 1960s when they reformed as The Moods of Country Music until eventually disbanding in the late 1970s. They reunited as The Original Moods in 1988 and played until around 2000 when they took another break until 2007. They officially retired on NYE 2016 with a farewell dance at the Shiner KC Hall. However, they continued to make some special appearances for a few more years until their final appearance in 2021. I have included some music by other area bands who sometimes played the same venues as The Moods or "battle of the band" events. Please let me know if you can contribute any additional content.
