Bayfield County is the second largest county in Wisconsin, but there's not one stoplight! With half of its land in public ownership, there are lots of opportunities for adventure including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, North Country National Scenic Trail, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, WI Lake Superior National Scenic Byway and so much more. You won't find many chain hotels and restaurants, but there are plenty of locally owned and operated shops, galleries, restaurants, attractions, lodging and lots of camping. Enjoy nature, with amenities!
