🌿 The Purpose of the Church of Christ
The Church of Christ exists to carry out the mission God has given His people in the New Testament. Its purpose is not defined by tradition or human preference, but by Scripture. At its core, the church has three primary purposes, each rooted in the teachings of Christ and His apostles.
📖 1. To Glorify God Through Worship
The church gathers to honor God in the way He has instructed.
• Worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)
• Remember Christ through the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7)
• Pray, sing, give, and study the Word (Acts 2:42; Eph. 5:19; 1 Cor. 16:2)
Worship is not entertainment or performance—it is reverent devotion directed toward God.
