The Ortega’s Band is a local band from Laoang, Northern Samar, founded by Mr. Celerino “Celing” Ortega(+) in 1975. The band was then formed mainly of family members, relatives & friends. They were usually hired during fiestas (towns & barangays), and also in others occasions / parties, that brought about their popularity, as the most sought band during the 80’s & 90’s in the island of Samar. Music is life! It inspires our hearts & souls to search for God. It also binds us together as a family & as a community. Today, we (2nd & 3rd generations) continue the legacy of our grandfather “Tatay Celing”, sharing and always keeping the best in music with quality sound which is the trademark of the band.
