“Sometimes, music is the only medicine that the heart and the soul needs.” The Music Club of IIT Kanpur, endearingly called as the MClub, is a hub for those melomaniacs who desire to express themselves through this art. At the Music Club, we aim to be the fulcrum where the people can explore and enjoy the various genres of music ranging from jazz, blues, classical to rock, metal and pop. A place to share this passion and perform and jam together to showcase their skills and mesmerize the campus junta, while maintaining the rich legacy of musical prowess, is the vision that this club upholds. The Musical Extravaganza is the flagship event of the club where the students perform songs from various genres. The other major events that we organise include the warm bonfire that incorporates the annual Acoustic Night, where acoustic and feel-good songs are played in the backdrop of a bonfire on a pleasant winter night.
