I wasn't an instant fan of AI. I've been writing music for decades—riffs, lyrics and arrangements that come from the soul. I play guitar and bass, program drums, and sing as best I can. I never claim any of it's any good. It's just mine. It's always been for the love of it, not the pursuit of perfection. I've recorded and released many songs without a fancy studio, a band to jam with, or professional mixing skills. But when AI shifted from prompt-based generation to true collaboration—when the "cover" feature let me bring a song I wrote to a virtual band and hear it reimagined with fresh drums, basslines, and layers—that's when it clicked. This isn't about letting AI create a song from scratch. It's about taking my own music and lyrics and letting them be interpreted, elevated, and heard in a more interesting way. Synthetic echoes is where those songs live. AI on the surface, with echoes of me beneath it that guides it. It's my ideas brought to life as full studio-style productions.
