Connor Wilson is a senior at Allen High School in Allen, Texas. He is a 4-year saxophonist in the Allen Eagle Escadrille. The “Biggest Band in the Land,” the Escadrille has an impressive size often exceeding 700 members at events including Allen Eagle football games, parades, marching band competitions, pep rallies, and community events. As a musician, Connor primarily plays the alto saxophone with 7 years of private instruction. Throughout high school he performed with alto, soprano, baritone, and tenor saxophones in many contexts including solo, quartet, wind and saxophone ensemble, jazz band, and large marching band settings. While saxophones are his favorite, there hasn’t been an instrument he didn’t love. He has also learned to play clarinet, trumpet, and flute. Connor’s music journey extends beyond high school as he aspires to earn degrees in music education and to pursue a future in saxophone performance.
