Growing up in Chicago, RaCesar's roots are in the city’s Mexican-American community, Little Village. An area ripe with culture and clash, RaCesar channels his first-generation experience into a blend of jazzy hip-hop and soulful grime. He honed his skills in 2001 by rapping over instrumentals with his friends and was inspired by NYC artists like , , and . Soon after, RaCesar’s first child was born, and in 2003, he put his artistic aspirations on pause to raise his family.
He returned to music after a decade away and with his long-time best friends, Johnny Garcia and Stone Flacco. Dedicated to elevating the art, music, and fashion scene in Chicago. As a visual artist, Johnny designs all cover art, logos, and music videos for RaCesar’s albums and songs. Stone Flacco mixes & produces all his music. RaCesar’s first project, Piotrowski Park: The Bridge, was released exclusively and its recognition propelled him to keep creating.
