The Global Black Feminist Reading Group's YouTube Channel is home to all the video content generated by live hangouts of the members. Here you will find raw footage of our Tuesday, 6:00 pm ET, weekly events, as well as clips highlighting different segments of each gathering. The book group is a place for us to explore, reflect, and share our reactions to fiction and non-fiction books by, for and/or about Black women, men and children. Using a Black feminist lens, we closely examine the texts for and about us, endeavoring to read through the lines and discern the explicit and implicit messages we receive, while exploring the impact those messages have on our self-image and how they shape the ways in which we are seen.
