These videos use some of the 5 registers/styles of language. Each level or register has an appropriate use that is determined by differing situations.  It would be inappropriate to use some language/vocabulary reserved for specific audiences. The vocabulary here is appropriate to specific settings, depending on the audience (who), the topic (what), purpose (why) and location (where). You need to manage the use of language registers to be successful in every aspect and situation you meet. Example; Consultative Register Societal expectations go together with the users of this sign. When strangers meet or have communications between persons, counselor/client, doctor/patient, attorney/defendant, teacher/student, etc.   Casual Register Community persons/friends use Informal languages. Colloquialisms are normal. This is “group” language.   Intimate Register Communication is kept for close members/intimate open-mind people, etc.
