A Nose Knows is dedicated to the lesser known aspects of perfumery: forgotten gems, brand-new houses, obscure ingredients, rarities, lost historical facts, and fun subjects never before covered. ABOUT ME I grew up in the bowels of Eastern Europe, with plumbing-less summers in the countryside; now I dwell in Oakland, CA, where I work in hi-tech by day and test perfumes by night. My nose is good, but like every other 'fumehead I'm perpetually studying, inquiring, learning about fragrance and perfumery. And while I can't add much to the stuff that's already been covered (thanks to quite a few VERY fine reviewers out there), I believe I can contribute to the collective knowledge with the off-off-side discoveries I make and am happy to share.
