A civil helicopter community without fatal accidents. 🚁 WHO WE ARE The US Helicopter Safety Team (USHST) is a 501(C)3 volunteer team of US government and industry stakeholders formed to improve the safety of civil helicopter operations. The USHST is a partner of the Vertical Aviation Safety Team (VAST). OUR VISION A civil helicopter community without fatal accidents. OUR MISSION To develop, deliver, and promote valuable safety resources focused on improving the US helicopter community’s safety culture and performance. OUR GOAL The USHST takes proactive steps in our collective efforts to positively change behaviors that influence accident rates. The USHST adopts goals and supporting objectives focused on influencing targeted reductions in the civil US registered helicopter fatal accident rate (e.g., percentage) over specified periods.
