KYAN II is a 1978 Morgan 41 Out Island Ketch Sailboat rescued from many years of neglect and abuse. Our episodes are a combination of Chesapeake sailing excursions and DIY maintenance in reality format while we prepare for our October 2021 departure as "snowbirds" to the sunny south. KYAN II's skipper and 1st mate are Shane & Sandra. Shane has over 50 years' experience maritime and aviation and has owned several sailboats from 22 feet to 41 feet in overall length. Our video's objectives are to feature every aspect of sailing, navigation, weather and to share our results in an honest and unaltered format.
