This channel is a place to share my own music – new classical music with roots in folk, world and early music – plus music by others that inspires me, and some scenes of natural beauty.
I’m an independent composer, writing original music that respects and learns from past traditions without being bound to any particular school, style or genre. Melody and a sense of beauty both have important roles in my music. As Mozart said, ‘melody is the essence of music’ and – like most composers in most eras and cultures – I believe that it’s melody more than anything else that gives music its sense of meaning and continuity.
